Sometimes it's the simple things...
« on: October 30, 2013, 05:39:33 PM »
Leaky faucet = dollars going down the drain, 1 drip at a time.  I never considered it to be worth bother with until I started reading about how much it adds up to.

The faucet in question is almost 4 years old, I presumed it was well out of warranty and tried to arrange a plumber to repair.  My thinking was that I would waste tons of money buying the wrong seals (or buying a whole kit).

Luckily for me, I couldn't get a plumber to stop by.  I decided to contact the manufacturer and found that they have a lifetime warranty!  They shipped out a complete repair kit to me that day, no charge.  I received it today and had it all swapped out (including scrubbing out buildup) in under 15 minutes!

...and I was ready to pay a plumber an hour of labor for that!  I very nearly needed a facepunch!  :-)
