My husband and I have been faithfully (obsessively?) reading MMM for the last six months or so, but I'm finally hopping onto the forums. We're trying to reign in our consumer-sucka ways and live with only what we need to save more. In the last few months we've tried to sell every possession we don't use on a regular basis and have 'found' nearly $8K in STUFF that we haven't missed. The biggest item (about 40% of our total so far) was the car clogging up the driveway (since we now bike, walk, or car-share everywhere!) but we are shocked at how much we've made selling our clutter. Tooting our own horns, and also hoping to encourage those sitting on extra possessions - reading decluttering threads in the 'Throw Down the Gauntlet' section has been inspiring!
