Small win, but cool
« on: July 26, 2013, 03:56:54 PM »
We have two parking spaces in our condo and parking is a premium in the Bay.  Only 1 car family, so we do long term parking of our unused spot and basically get a few bucks that pays for my car insurance each month.  Solid win!

Small side income just for not over-consuming?  Sweet!
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.

I do the same thing! 2 car garage and a 1 car family - I rent out the second garage to a local contractor to store his tools - rent is $100/month. He's been renting for 5 years now- it's a win for both of us.

I never would have thought about renting out a parking space or garage stall. Unfortunately our garage is full, so we won't be able to take advantage of this neat tip.
