Saved 80 bucks a month
« on: March 22, 2013, 04:02:28 PM »
I was so proud of myself this week so I had to share. I decided to run through my monthly expenses to see if I could trim off a little fat. Has anyone else done this lately?

Changed insurance company- 37
Cut my data on the phone - 10
Got a reduced rate on Internet - 33

That's great!

We spent $7.40 last week on a low-flow showerhead after reading MMM's article on using them, and while it's an adjustment (our former flow rate was over 3 gallons, now 1.5) we'll save about $7/month in water. Forever.

That's cool. I had considered putting a bottle in the tank for the toilet to save a little water. It's just me and the dog living here so my water usage is low to  start with.

$8.40, not $7.40 (I remembered wrong). Took about 1 minute to replace the old one -- easy to put on.

Our water/sewer bill is $75/month, so I'll take all the savings I can get!
