I found a service Amazon offer that allows you to send large amounts of newsletters which is practically free (last time I sent them out, it only cost me ten cents): http://aws.amazon.com/ses/#pricing

It took me 2 days to figure it out (and everyone has their way of doing it) but I went the easiest route possible.   I bought some low cost software to make the interface easier, but a techie could probably do it for free.
