Not really badass since MMM recommends giving old books away but our books are either much loved, poorly written (and hence not a nice present) or falling apart -my twins are two.
Anyhow I had been buying birthday presents from book fairs or marked down Aldi special buys to give out as Christmas/birthday presents to kids of friends or family. Cheaper than regular retailers but still around $10 a pop. Then I saw that Mumgo (an Aussie version of Groupon) had a ten pack of Julia Donaldson books for $15. Julia Donaldson is a favourite author and her books sell for at least $15 each. So I bought five sets and together with postage it comes out to $1.68 per book. So now we will wrap up two books in kiddie decorated drawing paper and have a present for $3.36. I'm set for presents for the next few years!
