Paid off my car!
« on: August 22, 2014, 02:45:10 PM »
Paid off my car one year ahead of schedule! So glad to see that bill finally go away. Next time I'll have enough money saved so I won't have to get a loan again.

Exactly!  Seriously, if that paid-off car is a late-model, fancy-schmanzy vehicle, get your quickly depreciating money OUT of it and buy something a'la MrMoneyMustache: older, cheaper.

(Just so you'll know I walk the walk, my vehicle is a paid-off 1996 Dodge Dakota pickup.  And I love it.)

It's an '07 4Runner with 94k miles. Fortunately my work pays for all my gas and car repairs/maintenance. My plan is to run into the ground just like my last car.

The house is definitely next. Looking at about throwing around $600.00 towards it every month.
