I just finished up the last graduate school class the Board of Accountancy required. I've already passed all four parts of the CPA exam, so I'm just waiting on final grades to post so I can mail off my application to get my license. I'm feeling rather accomplished right about now.

That's awesome! I have yet to pass all four parts. I did attempt AUD twice (72 & 68) and BEC once (65) but haven't gotten back to studying yet. I want to build up some money for it first instead of just putting it all on a cc like last time.

Yea, I failed a couple of parts a couple of different times, but finally got them all taken care of. It can be quite pricey, especially if you're having to take the exams multiple times. The best option is to join a firm and let them pay for it. Because my father is a disabled veteran, the VA paid for my exam fees so I didn't have to go that route. Best of luck to you on them in the future!

Fortunately I found a cheap study system that is good. Jeff Elliott's NINJA system is what I'll be using.

Unfortunately I work for a small firm that doesn't pay for materials or fees nor do they reimburse. :(

Congrats! I finally got mine last month after completing all requirements in November. Depending on your state it can take a few months for everything to process so be prepared for a wait.

Whats the pass mark for you? 75? thats very high.

pass mark is 50 over here. When I was going through it the pass rate was about 70-75% of the cohort. It may have changed since then (4-5 years ago)

It was a great day when I got the license, but you know what? It was a bit of a letdown after that. I had been so focused on the goal, that once I had achieved it, I felt like: "What do I do now?"

Yea, I've been kind of going through that a little bit. I'm gunning for a promotion at work, and my CPA should put me up near the top of the list, but if that doesn't go through I'm kind of like "okay...now what?"

Passing score is 75. Your pass rate is extremely high. Our pass rate generally hovers around 50% with the BEC exam being the outlier. The AICPA releases the pass rates every quarter which you can find here.

Way to go!  I know how hard it is!  It's an investment in your career you won't regret (at least financially speaking).
