No More Lexus
« on: October 07, 2014, 11:26:56 AM »
Even though I had been reducing my lifestyle my Lexus lease payment kept staring me in the face every single month.  It was frustrating because I couldn't get out of the lease early and I had to watch $400/month go towards a very expensive car I didn't even want anymore!

Well my lease is over and I turned the keys back over to the dealer.

I replaced the Lexus with a 2012 Ford Focus (no financing).  My insurance has dropped and I can't wait to feel $400 richer next month.

Also this weekend I will finally be emptying my storage container that I have been paying $69/month a for.  The place I'm getting it from will prorate my monthly payment so I will be getting some of the $69 back.

I feel so much better to have finally been able to get rid of both of these monthly bills.

Congrats on both counts!  Getting out of two recurring pay, nets like that must feel great and will be nice for the stash!

Nice job!  What are your plans for that freed up $469 a month?

Not sure yet.  I  have one other car note @1.9% (my dad's car) that is scheduled to be paid off in 12 months, no other debt.  I'm considering snowballing this payment onto that or just stache it since the other payment is well budgeted.

perfect.. nearly $500 a month of TAXED income going right to your bottom line.. That's a significant pay rise for most people.
