No computer
« on: June 17, 2013, 03:13:11 PM »
A few days ago my adapter on my laptop broke, and I couldn't really use my computer. I turned off my computer immediately and realized I needed to do something for entertainment, so I did something old-fashion, I picked up a book and READ! While I was busy this weekend, I realized how much idle time I spend at night on my computer doing something or another, most frequently things that are unnecessary. Instead, I finished 1.5 books this weekend and still had time to do everything else that I needed to.

Thanks, but unfortunately I need the computer for many things, including work. I do sincerely pledge to cut down my computer usage. Growing up, I have been a reader, and times like this remind how much I truly value the written word.

Down time from electronics is a great idea.  Said the guy killing time in an outpatient surgery center, grateful to have Wi-Fi access....  Seriously, there are times when I consciously leave the laptop alone, and often for not long enough, and am grateful I did so for a time.  So good for you.  And now to Citrix into the office (sigh....)
