I love to have classical music playing in the background as I go about my day's activities. But, like everything else I write about on this forum and my own blog, I want to listen to that music frugally. Unfortunately, my rural location rules out streaming music off the internet. So I've been waiting for a frugal opportunity to beef up my classical music CD collection. And it finally came!
Last Friday, I walked into the public library on my usual DVD-borrowing visit and -- lo and behold -- there was a library clearance sale going on. Hardback books at 2 bucks. And CDs at just fifty cents. So I jumped in and loaded up.
I scored 26 classical music CDs for a mere $13. And doing that doubled my classical music CD collection for the cost of a modest restaurant meal.
Like they say: good things come to those who wait. :D
