Mustachian Replacement
« on: September 23, 2015, 08:39:59 AM »
So, on Saturday, I was going to take one of the kids via Bike-and-Trailer down to pick up some groceries (about 2 miles away).  But when we were all ready to go, we found that his helmet had been left over at Grandpa's house (where he is learning to ride a bike).  He'd been wanting to go on this bide ride for awhile now, but we both knew that if he didn't have his helmet, we would face the wrath of Mama.

He very sadly said "well, I guess we'll have to take your car today Daddy."  We thought about it a bit, and then I proposed a better solution:  We would put him in the jogging stroller, and we would run instead.  The groceries could ride next to him on the way home (given the twins, we have a double-everything).

So we did!  Clown-Car avoided, Fitness gained, fun procured!  Woo!

More power to you, you'll need all that health and stamina to continue dealing with the kids and every day life in the years to come. Go MMMrs:)

It actually worked out even better - because it started raining on the return trip, and Mr. Gateway Jr. would have had a face full of bicycle water if we'd ridden.  This way he stayed tucked in under his waterproof stroller blanket and the canopy.  And the groceries stayed dry too.

I did not, but I love running in the rain, so it was awesome.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
