Most profitable routine day at work ever
« on: December 04, 2014, 10:53:54 AM »
Yesterday was a red letter day for pizza/pasta sandwich deliveries.  My wife and I, me working 8 hours, her working about 4 hours, made, all told just about 400 dollars exactly, including tips, driver reimbursement per delivery, and salary.  This was over two shifts. This doesn't subtract out car and gas expenses. Often a really good day would be in the mid to low 300's, but yesterday there were a few extra medium size orders with 20 dollar tips thrown in and things just kept going from there.  I've had better days but only because there was some immense 200 dollar tip thrown in (this happens maybe once or twice a year), so this was the first time cracking 400 without benefit of a monster tip that threw the numbers out of whack.
This got me to thinking that in our neighborhood with an average household income of about 90k a year, there must be countless households where 400 dollars income per working day is routine.  I shudder to think what we could do savings-wise with 90 k income a year.  Anyway, a good day all around, and ironically the heavy rain we had didn't really impact the day that much, as dinner orders were pretty routine in terms of volume, and none of the best tips had anything to do with special orders related to weather.

Good for you man,

If you had seen the captial one Black Friday sales on $100 bank account bonuses and $200 on a chase Freedom CC you could have both made an easy $800.. as long as you had $2500 to put in those accounts... Took about two hours to set them up..

Keep looking for creative ways to make more money, get out of debt (if any) and it will start to add up.

Congrats on the good day! I've had my taste of the $400 days and they are sweet. I'm completing a pharmacy residency at the moment (optional, but should lead to a better quality job), but work part time as a pharmacist on my off days.  Residency is generally $35-$45k/yr, ~150/day, while a Pharmacist is $100k/yr, ~400/day. I am still managing to put money away, but all that extra cash will be a much bigger savings.

Since Frank mentioned it, I will throw in that the Chase Freedom CC deal is through 12/8. If interested, shoot me a PM with your first and last name and email address, I would love to refer you and get a little extra bonus!
