Maxed out my IRA today

This year has been awesome. Got married, paid off the bit of debt we had, did a 6% contribution to 401k all year, and as of today - I maxed out my IRA.

I'm typically a silent party on this site, but wanted to share a big accomplishment to one of our yearly goals. Wife's IRA is next.

Congrats! It might take a year or two before I can get to that goal due to the CC debt and SL debt. Maybe in about 5 or 6 years I can start maxing out my 401k and IRA. Oh well we'll all get there eventually. Just gotta keep plugging away at it.

Congrats! I maxed out my TFSA (Roth IRA equivalent) this year too - it's a great feeling. Keep it up!
