It's no "New Yorker," but I'll take it! Mustachian themes present: Leaving the normal rat race to live where one's values are being expressed while embarking on the adventure of building one's own home.
Of the article I wrote: "So grateful to the arts community in Fergus Falls for their work in creating a community where this way of seeing and being is valued! Now, more than ever, we need these places where we can learn to increasingly see the truth that lies deeper than our everyday concepts and prejudices. "Draw what you see, not what you know," my dad (an art teacher in this community for 30 years prior to his passing) would always say. The arts train us in this, and this community has become an incubator for this spirit!"

I saw that posted by a friend on Facebook! I've known Fergus Falls has a great cycling community, but not much else about the area, so it was really neat to read this!

Oh yeah! They've really been pushing for fostering a bike friendly community. Fun fact: A new mountain biking course is being built in the hills just across the highway from my place! Also, the North Country hiking trail is going to be coming through town here soon as well! All good things!

For sure! In many ways the place seems to never change. That's part of the reason I love it here. Happy to see that the changes that are taking place are good ones!

Congrats! Saw the article posted on Facebook, it's helped some Twin Cities friends see there's more going on in the states outside their metro area.

Congratulations on a wonderful article and great work! I read this while visiting a friend for the state fair, how cool to find out it was about a fellow mustachian! I'm originally from a town in Fergus' high school athletics conference, it is nice to see such things happening in central MN.

How did I miss this?? We currently live in Hopkins. I've only lived in MN for a few years and never been to Fergus Falls but now I really want to check it out :)
