Long road to a lower cell phone bill
« on: August 04, 2014, 08:45:49 AM »
When I was married, the AT&T bill for our cell phones was $108 which covered unlimited talk/text, no data, and included the 22% discount from my employer.

When we divorced in May of '13, I managed to freeze his portion of the account, and a nice operator gave me some kind of deal, which lowered the bill to $63.

Then, I started reading MMM and $63 seemed way too high.  I decided to switch to Airvoice, but while I waited for the appropriate circumstances, I called AT&T to complain, and they lowered my bill to $47.

My BIL works for Nokia.  My sister didn't like her new Lumia, and went back to an iPhone.  I got the Lumia for free, and my costs this month for Airvoice will be $35, and from here on out will be $30!!!  That's for unlimited talk/text/500mg data.  That's more service for a lot less money.

I made the switch Saturday, and everything's working very well.  I feel like a total badass.

Good work chrissy. We will be switching to a low cost provider soon as well.
