Little Spending win - Bowling on a budget
« on: September 07, 2016, 10:25:42 AM »
We live in a retirement/bedroom community and recently discovered that a nearby Casino/Entertainment complex has great deals on bowling.  Bowling is something I used to enjoy many years ago but found to be too expensive now.  However, on Wednesdays they have $0.80 shoe rentals and $0.80 per game per person bowling.  My wife and I plan to drive the 10 miles to the complex and bowl 2 games each for $5!

If we really enjoy bowling enough we may investigate how much it is to buy our own cheapo bowling shoes.  I think it is a great way for us at home workers to get out of the house without suffering in the 115+ degree weather in the summers.

Nice deal! Don't tell a soul in your town or you'll be fighting the crowds before you know it! Our local theater started $5 movies on Tuesdays and we enjoyed it for about a year before their marketing actually worked and brought in the huge lines. Darn it!

I bought my son some decent.bowling shoes on Amazon.  Very cost effective as shoe rental is $2.50 a pop .  Enjoy!  You found yourself a good deal.
