It dawned on me that for those who like to have decent looking lawns but despise spending loads of money (like myself) now is a good time to stock up on some fertilizer. Not chemical fertilizer but organic, although I am sure some chemical based fertilizer can be had for cheap.
Not sure if they sell Milorganite all over the country but it's a fantastic organic fertilizer for your yard. Normally it's around $13/bag. Most Walmarts have it discounted anywhere between $3-$5/bag. I stocked up for all of next year and spent less than $50. Milorganite is fantastic for gardens and landscapes as well. It's also fun to find out where it comes from.
