On 9/30/15, I had $50,114 of credit card debt.
Tonight, I will make the final payment and have $0 in credit card debt for the first time in over 20 years. Then I will break open a bottle of (paid for in cash, cheap) champagne.
It's honestly a little surreal. In the beginning, it was just crawling down so slowly it felt like it would never be gone. But paying off debt with the snowball method is some kind of magical and the momentum just kept building!

Holy crap! That is a big accomplishment! Now you will feel so comparatively wealthy.
What are you going to do with the extra dough now that you are free of CC debt? Hopefully save most of it :)

How in the fuck did you possibly ring up $50k in cc debt? That's absolute insanity. Congrats on paying it off, but holy fucking shit man.

Agreed, your creditors charged you interest. Now you can work on your credit rating as needed and use credit card rewards for even more money to save.
