Just saved 55% on Spotify

So Spotify charges AU$12 per month here. I've been on this plan for ages and essentially realised I've been an idiot all along.

I quit my subscription and bought a one year gift voucher on eBay for AU$65. Boom, $79 a year saved.

Assuming a conservative 5% annualised return and assuming spotify will be around for that long, this seemingly small saving of $6.59 per month will over a decade compound to $1,026 saved towards my FIRE goals with NO compromise towards my quality of life whatsoever.

People laugh at me when I'm excited about saving a couple of dollars a month, but they forget the bigger picture.

I love spotify, but they keep raising their prices. I finally unsubscribed a few months back. I've made the switch to Amazon music, which is free with my Prime account.

 I am not trying to take away from your achievement, certainly spotify is 1000x better and easier to work than Amazon Music, but I didn't know Amazon Music was free with Prime until about three months ago. I've had prime for like three years.
