I bought one to use at work instead of driving around one of the little buggies (I work at a large facility).  I put over two miles on it doing my rounds this morning.  Just hope you bought one with the larger (6") wheels!  I love riding mine around. :)

(Our crew doesn't have a set of bikes, and I end up having to go up and down too many long/steep flights of stairs to make a bike work anyway.  I can just throw the scooter over my shoulder and carry it with me.)

Hope you enjoy it!

Check your local laws! My understanding is that my state (Ohio) regulates the majority of such vehicles as motorcycles, and you run the risk of being cited for operating a motorcycle without a license (and insurance).

Kick scooters don't have motors.

That's the one I have.

Oh! Lol. I thought "kick scooter" meant a scooter with a motor that had to be kick started. I'm stupid. Haha.

Now all I can picture is getting followed by a cop with lights on while I'm kick-scootering down the street.

Pulled the trigger and yesterday was my first commute day!

How awesome it was! instead of taking 25 minutes to come back home I did it in 7 minutes. Also its such a badass vehicle! People look at you like "wtf is this guy doing". Now Im wondering about puting some flames stickers on my helmet just for the badassity :D

I live close to Amish country and see them using kick scooters all the time - although theirs look handmade out of wood.

Still, you get a badass badge!

Your scooter looks much more rugged than mine! (I have pretty flat surfaces at work, so went with low cost).  Mind sharing what it is?

I've been tempted to bike to work, since it's only four miles and I need the exercise, but ever since I had ear surgery, my balance is crappy and there is a hill on the way home that I don't feel real comfortable on (not only because it's steep, but it's curvy and there are some areas where I wouldn't be seen by a car until last minute).  However, I may decide that a scooter would be good in the future...
