After taxes and deductions (health, dental, retirement @5%) I take home $926 in my bi-weekly paycheck.
My direct deposit is split between my Checking and Savings accounts, and I just boosted the amount that is deposited into my Savings account from $250 to $300. I also increased my bi-weekly automatic contribution into my Roth IRA by the same $50 increase, and ideally I won't even notice the lesser amount in my Checking account.
Every little bit counts!
