Husband agreed to try ting
« on: August 19, 2014, 06:21:13 PM »
My husband has been opposed to moving to ting because he has been a verizon customer all his cell phone life (and verizon does reward him with some perks).  Well his phone died and we were discussing what to do.  I pointed out that my contract was up in four month, and since he "owned" both lines, why not just try out ting, instead of waiting for me to try them out in January.  He has agreed and we just switched to ting tonight (using a referral code).  I had a sprint flip phone I got from freecycle so he is trying it using that.
He should spend about $20/month (and on the joint plan he was spending $30) plus the $25 referral, until January when I will move to ting, upping our ting cost to $30, removing the $35 from Verizon and adding $5 to verizon interest.
Maybe now is the time to push the cheaper internet, lol?

Great news.
I made the switch from Verizon to PagePlus(same network) with my average intelligence level phone and it seems to be working fine.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
