Buy as much cat as you can afford while rates are low!

Man don't let that suck you in. It's not just the up front cat costs, but the ongoing maintenance too. The large ones require more fuel, take up more space, and make more waste.

It's an embarrassment, but my 2 person household has 3 clown cats.  But I use the most efficient one for the job, and they are already paid for.

Just walked in after a hard morning running errands.  Not so much as a meow from either of the stripey little monsters.  I am taking them back to the Humane society and asking for my money back.

Once I read that PETA says keeping companion animals is wrong, so I freed my kitty.  I opened the door and motioned him out.  He just sat there.  All our cats have been indoor/outdoor cats anyway, so I guess he was always free.

My dog just sits in my kayak and my (now dearly departed) kitty likes to just sit on my (also dearly departed) motorcycle.

So Fushi and Saiba weren't the only ones!

We also sprung for a small, off-brand, used, d0G model. We've found that the functions for cleaning kitchen messes and providing auxiliary notice of visitors at the door functions are efficient and promptly executed. We're gradually programming in "stay" and "bring me a toy" functions, but the programming language on these models seems really ancient and is tricky to decipher.

Overall, though one of the absolute best purchases we've ever made. :-)

Thanks for the laughs, guys; this was one of my favorite threads in a long time!

Not sure a person who buys his dog a kayak and his cat a motorcycle is really Mustachian.  I am not letting my cats see this because they are currently content with biking.

The small, off-brand slightly used dog models are extremely awesome at cleaning kitchen messes. Much better than the cat models. It might not be Mustachian, but I'm still pleased with my purchase.

Ha Ha - Our kitties have the right idea - bad ass biker cool cats!. When I first FIRE'd I had 3 cats and 3 larger dogs. Then I got a couple or 3 more homeless dogs (but downsized to the economy model this time with their lower "fuel" needs and much lower "emissions" levels). Tried to get my current dog to ride on most recent motorcycle (a Ducati Monster) as well as on my bicycle but she'll have none of it. So maybe cats are better bikers :-)!

Last time we tried to go for a bike ride with the dog, she jumped out while we were moving!!

Although I've seen some other dogs that don't mind it.  In fact, that trailer was used for a dog before I got it.

Naw, me, my partner, and the cats all shared the same motorcycle.  And we didn't have any car.  60mpg, no parking or toll costs, low registration and insurance, no more cost efficient way to travel at high speed.

Since I read this thread, I've taken to referring to the dog exclusively as "clown cat"
She doesn't seem to mind, but she refuses to answer to it

When not sleeping, our 17-year old black Egyptian beauty loves to 'hide' from our dog, as seen in this picture.

Our cat has always been a hunter, and used to bring us mouse and bird carcasses, but lately we're finding only the heads and no bodies.  I'm beginning to believe that he's becoming influenced by ISIS propaganda, and my eventually resort to jihad.

At least he's enjoying a varied diet.

We do discourage him from attacking songbirds, and he does have a bell on his collar.  Mice have it coming to them.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
