I'm impressed!  Both at how nice the ring looks and at your ability to not be brainwashed by all the diamond ring marketing.

So, I was not as smart as you and your husband and spend waaaaay too much money; but I did use blue nile, and their platinum bands are awesome.

Found a CZ, channel-set eternity band on Amazon for $7 with shipping: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AAJT5S4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

The grand total for both rings is now $272, and I'm sitting on 147 AAAAA in extra stones.

I've haven't taken off the new band since it arrived over a week ago, and it's held up.  I wear the rings together, and got another compliment on it from the bank teller today!  Here's a picture:

That set looks INCREDIBLE together!! Well done!

Thanks, folks!  I love them and haven't taken them off.  Everything's holding up well.

We're having a girl!  Very exciting for my husband and his family, since they've had male births 70% of the time for his generation and 70% in his parents' generation.  The upcoming generation is still small, but 100% male currently, so this will be the first girl in 40 years.
