Fixed slow draining dishwasher!
« on: May 01, 2017, 06:32:39 PM »
Dishwasher was progressively getting worse at cleaning and draining. Kept putting it off.

Today was the last straw. Pulled it out, turned it over. Found a YouTube video that seemed to fit my problem and dishwasher model. Followed it through removing the drain line. Nope. Pulled off main elbow. Nope. Removed the face plate of the engine. Bingo! Crud and plastic wrapped around the shaft. Back together, check for leaks, back under the counter. Good to go.

Took me a while, but tripled my confidence for future dishwasher repairs. Wouldn't blink to change a motor in the future... and I ain't particularly handy.

Bad Ass! A new dishwasher would cost you plenty.

I installed a dishwasher myself last year, not that handy either, took a while,  but worth it to save 100 $ My new dishwasher  cost around 350-450 cant remember how much exactly but install was 100-150.

Good work! A bit of tinkering with the dishwasher can be surprisingly effective. I am in charge of dishwasher maintenance at our house :)
