Fixed my sewing machine!
« on: February 28, 2014, 07:06:41 PM »
I use my sewing machine a lot.... And its been broken for about 2 months.  I NEEDED it to work today, so I got on YouTube and a couple other sites... Took the whole damn thing apart, made some adjustments and cleaned it really well...and put it back together without any "extra" parts left over :)  about an hour of my time and It works better now than it did brand new!  No parts needed or anything :) back in business! I wonder what they would have charged me for that...

Love it!  Soon people will be bringing theirs over for you to look at.. at least that's what happened to me when I got brave enough to take mine apart and put it back together!  It's amazing how many problems a good cleaning will fix and prevent!  And how many problems are easy to fix!

Well done!  YouTube is the most awesome 'how-to' manual ever.

Thanks! Now I'm eyeing up my leaky handle on my kitchen sink... Amazing what you can get done when you don't feel like doing normal chores :)

Way to go!  You've given me the courage to get mine out and take a look at it.  I haven't used it in several years.  If there's an issue, I can YouTube it!

And now, the sink is fixed :)  Yay!   And, my son did most of the work (he's 9) so I feel like I get double credit, because now he knows he can fix a leaking handle on a kitchen sink... double points!  I get more constructive things done on a Friday night and a Saturday morning than I ever get done at work....

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
