Thank you for your encouragement, Mustachians! I have successfully saved around $700 by replacing a leaky intake manifold gasket myself, with the help of some general tips and some occasional muscle from Mr. MP.
It took two weekends (bonus: Mr. MP and I were forced to carpool for a whole week, a trend which may continue). And a Monday. And I still have to do an oil change before I can drive anywhere.
But it's done, and my Blazer started right up, and we're thrilled that I picked up a new skill!
