Cycled 11.74 miles to work today. Only 11.74 home to go.

First time taking my bike to work and cycled 11.74 miles this morning. My ass is pretty darn sore but I'm looking forward to cycle home. I honestly found the most beautiful route a mile from my home. I was in awe cycling at 6.30 this morning. The cycle just took over an hour.

I work with my wife, but I leave an hour and a half early than here every morning and she commutes home much earlier than I. I do car-share most days, but recently the person I share with has been working irregular hours. This meant 3 vehicles at our office. So I thought why the heck not? Especially with the lovely weather we're having.

I feel pretty sorebadass.

Way to go! 

At my last job, my commute was about 10 miles, and I always wanted to try biking in, but never really did.  Did it part-way a couple times by parking the car part of the way there, and biking the rest of the way.  (I'm sure this is laughable to many, but it was a hilly ride and I'm not a strong cyclist!)  Anyway, new commute is 20 miles, which sucks in some ways (but the job, work/life balance, and other benefits make it worth the trip.)

Hope the ride home went well, and congrats on getting started on this!!  Give your ass a rest and do it again soon!
