Custom beer mug at Goodwill
« on: June 07, 2013, 11:44:20 PM »
Two of my friends just bought fancy beer mugs for $10 each after using them at a new bar.  We all liked how they look, and decided to get them.  They spend about $40 each to get a nice set.. but instead of spending that much, I went to Goodwill!  I got a set of the exact same mugs for $2 a piece, and found another beer mug with my initials etched on the side (!!!!).  I could hardly believe my luck.  Of course, LUCK had nothing to do with it!  I have great mugs, which increase the pleasure of beer drinking (aesthetics, aroma, pour speed).

The Next step:  Fancy leather couch for <$200.  College kids are moving home and it's time to get a deal!

Sweet!

All of my dishes are from thrift shops except for the dinner forks.  I just didn't have luck finding those (because I need a big, heavy weight fork) so I finally gave in and bought some at Target.

One of the local bars here does a "pint glass giveaway" every Wednesday night.  Coworkers like to go there, so sometimes I join them to be social.  That's how my beer glass collection reached critical mass.

Unless you get that couch from the most well-behaved college students on campus, you might want to look at it under UV light and thoroughly disinfect it before you start using it. ;)
