Couch Camping!

After having a backyard campfire, my 2 year old and I pull out the living room couch bed on the weekends.   We call it couch camping.   It's made for some great father/son quality time, kept the car in garage, and the stash growing.  I can't wait for the next weekend to do it again.

I always love inexpensive fun, and especially with kids, no driving, and minimal setup/cleanup.  Sounds great. 

I highly recommend adding a cheap tent, maybe in a year or two.  We pitch ours in the living room (or occasionally the backyard if whether is very nice), and they love it.  Something about helping to pitch the tent, and then getting zipped in for the night really excited them.

My wife loves camping so much that three years ago, one Sunday after camping,  we returned home to camp on the back deck of the house.  The tent fit perfectly.   

Will try that again this weekend at our new deck, as I absolutely grew to hate camping due to the one million items we had to pack, unpack, repack, unpack and clean every trip.

Thanks to you we can now camp on the deck next to the fire pit,  microwave some popcorn and do a little dance that we don't have to pack a freaking thing!   

She likes to camp next to water so I'll be sure to turn the fountain on as well.
