Changed Home Insurance
« on: January 09, 2014, 02:53:08 PM »
In some ways, this is more about overcoming inertia than anything. I'd changed car insurance and cell phone service in the past year, but the one thing I hadn't gotten around to completing was home insurance. Today, I got a quote from Amica (very highly rated) which was better coverage and cheaper than what I had, and I made the switch. SO GLAD to have that taken care of. Savings will be several hundred dollars per year, too, although our deductible is higher, which I wanted to change anyway.

That's the last of the fixed expenses I need to comparison shop for...time to do it all over, but this time I'm starting from a very solid place.

Congrats on overcoming that inertia.  It can be hard, but once you do it's a nice feeling.
