car parking charges
« on: June 29, 2015, 04:38:41 AM »
Well, I've had to visit our local hospital practically every day since May 1st. That's 58 days unfortunately my mother in law  offered to pay the first time and created such hassle I agreed however since then I have use the 2 pieces of tools on my frame and walked in. Amazingly to save £3 ($4.5) I only have to walk 300 yards maximum .

Happy with my savings of (drum roll)  £174 or $273

Cheers and thanks Mr Money Mustache

I’m sorry you’re spending so much time at the hospital. I know from experience how the parking charges add to a stressful situation—the last thing you want to be doing is keeping an eye on the time.

For the last year I’ve spent £65/m* to park near work (cheap for the city centre) but I recently found a few streets within walking distance where I can park for free. I actually enjoy the 10 minute walk.

*plus £30 fine when I forgot to renew my pass!
