Airvoice Wireless - another convert
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:51:08 PM »
I just switched to airvoice wireless and I am now saving $125 per month by firing AT&T.

Here is my little tip to get the data network working on an iphone 3gs.

Go to unlockit.co.nz and install the data profile.  You will need to be on a network to do this because you will not yet have data plan services.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Recent convert here. Next up is convincing the wife that she can do the $10 plan instead of the you $30.

I tried the 10$ plan first, but I ran out of minutes every two weeks. I have two people who live far away that I like to have hour long convos with on a regular basis. So I just got a nettalk duo to have those convos at home, nettalk is 3$/month. Next time I re-up, Im going for the 10 plan again! yay airvoice!

Our sim cards for Airvoice are on their way - interesting that the big "V" called my hubby this week asking how everything is with our cell phone service .... "Come Monday" (we are JB fans...) it'll be alright... when we pull the plug and save close to $100/month.  Just moved both teens over to VM (total of $60/month) - they are thrilled so far too and I am not worried about the data/txt overages.  We are also considering getting two freedompop hotspots for us - did anyone else notice they are only $39 right now???  Wonder if I should be concerned about that...
