A multi-billion dollar potential client called us this week
« on: October 29, 2017, 06:41:47 PM »
A multi-billion dollar potential client called us this week about a product of ours. Our product is currently being used by universities around the world but for free.

The potential client is not happy with the current product they are using, and they have sent us a list of 10+ complains they have about it and our product can solve all those issue and more. They will start the testing next week, they are very particular but hopefully they’ll love our product.

If it works out, this would be our first paying client, and it has the potential to help us achieve our target of doubling our income from $400K/yr to $800K+/yr, and maybe eventually make us millions if our product is also adopted by other departments within the company or by their competitors. It's a very small niche, and the competitors tend to copy each other.

Ideally, we would want to make enough to hire people to manage the project/company so we can FIRE and live the good life. Fingers crossed. We blog about our journey to FIRE at [MOD EDIT: Spam Link Removed.] and share tips and lessons learned along the way.

Edited to add: We have 9-5 jobs, this is one of our side gigs.

... y'all just spam your blog link, don't you?  Ignore my previously well thought out responses in your other threads.

In 14 out of 30 total posts, this person claims to be making some variation of $400k + per year. I call total BS. In fact, this is so egregious, I call TOTAL BULLSHIT!

99 to 1%, if you're a mustachian, why are you trying to double this? Why not just FIRE already?
