So, I was out walking my dogs a couple of weeks ago, and noticed that one of my neighbors had thrown a guitar out. It was on the curb with a big pile of other household trash - broken fans, bags of crap, etc. It turned out to be a pretty low-end Indiana Scout, but it's structurally intact and minimally scratched.
DW rolled her eyes and demanded a deadline when I walked in and told her I was flipping it - and I can't blame her, because the truth is I don't always finish the process. But it just needed new strings ($6) and a 43mm nut ($4). The stuff arrived in the mail yesterday, I slapped the nut on with some Superglue, and I was stringing it five minutes later. After tightening the tuning keys and jamming for a while to ensure everything held, I listed it for $60. Probably have a friend taking it at that price today but it's on CL in case he falls through.
Feelsgoodman :D
