Incredibly, Trump and the Republicans might have done something useful for my finances. I wrote a few weeks ago about my partner wanting a second home and me somewhat hemming and hawing,but also understanding that it was something that was important to him. However, given the tax "reform" currently under consideration, and the fact that we live in a HCOL area, with high incomes and high taxes, my spouse and I are likely to take it on the chin if the current tax proposals go through. My partner turned to me the other day and just said, let's wait and see what happens frst--besides we can just rent. Which is precisely what we did last weekend, at a lovely house in Pt. Reyes. Victory!!
