My husband and I currently own three short term rentals and one long term rental.  We are adding another short term rental, woo.  We both also work regular full time positions and I on the tail end of PhD coursework.  So, we generally stay pretty busy!  I am considering hiring a virtual assistant to help specifically with the short term rental management, and when the long term rental is vacant, handling advertising, etc.  Also, we must file monthly taxes so would like that to be covered too (just filling out a form online).

I feel this will mostly be a cost to me that does not provide a monetary return necessarily, however, with our busy schedules sometimes we only respond to booking requests a couple of times a week and maybe miss out on some reservations.  I am wondering if anyone has done anything like this and what the overall experience/cost, etc was.  Our rentals generate about $60,000 year.  One is owned free and clear.  The others have mortgages.

Any thoughts or experiences?  Thanks!

I've seen blog articles and advertisements on Biggerpockets (yes, another reference to that site!).  I haven't used one personally.

Thanks, I will check out biggerpockets!  I have been there before but it didn't come up in my searching.  I got a lot of spammy sites in general google searches.
