Wolferman`s Signature English Muffins
« on: March 20, 2015, 05:41:56 PM »
These decadent English muffins come 4 to a pack in wonderful flavors such as Blueberry, Cinnamon Chocolate Chip etc. and they`re twice the size of regular English muffins. I was introduced to them when I was sent a condolence basket from my employer.

However, the price is extremely anti-Mustachian even on sale or with a discount code. I`m wondering if any of the bakers on the forum are familiar, and have a recipe to replicate them?

Hi! No idea if they're the same at all, but budget bytes has a recipe for English muffins and everything I've made off her site has been pretty darn good! (Now I'm drooling thinking about her nacho taters...)

I know exactly which ones you are talking about. My husband's grandparents would send us samplers for Christmas before they passed. I and our kids especially love our "minis". They actually had quite a good code around christmastime and came "this" close to buying a whole bunch for our family for $36 (they freeze well).  So my suggestion, ask for them for a xmas/birthday present! Some things are worth it.

I buy english muffins at Aldi for .99/pack (6 qty).  They perhaps are not as good as what you describe, but every bit as good as Thomas'.  And I suspect they might be Thomas' under a private label.

Trudie, I buy those too! Oh here I go getting started on Aldi again. Their little sandwich pockets at .99 taste just like the brands over $3.  The cinnamon raisin bread is good too, and you can't beat $1.69 for bagels.

I love Wolferman's muffins but haven't tried making them.  I did a bit of googling around the net and found a few recipes that might get you close.  I am not much of a cook but some of these recipes might inspire me to try.  😉
