Wireless power usage meters
« on: April 01, 2015, 03:04:44 PM »
Hi all,

I'm looking for something like the Efergy power usage meter (http://efergy.com/ca/products/electricity-monitors/elite-classic) but I find the price tag a bit steep.

Are there cheaper alternatives? What do you all use?

I'd like to be able to review my consumption with a high resolution (a minute or less would be nice). I don't need the LCD, if it's cheaper to have one you can only read with a computer that's fine.

Thanks,

dragoncar

Well there's this for individual circuits: http://slickdeals.net/f/7792247-rosewill-energy-usage-monitor-w-detachable-screen-15-fs-newegg

For the whole house, just stick a webcam on your power meter.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
