Swagbucks Guide and Referral thread
« on: July 15, 2014, 02:02:30 PM »
I've been using swagbucks for the past 6 days and earned $20 so far in a fairly painless fashion. It works best if you have access to free wifi (like at work, starbucks/other cafe or at a library) and are able to plug your phone/tablet in while you run the two official mobile apps SBTV and Entertainow, both of which will show you short videos until your daily limit of swagbucks has been reached. You do have to make sure the apps do not freeze, but as long as the device is near you it should not be much of a problem. Just running the two apps and nothing else will earn you about $1.5 a day. There is also a semi passive radio station that is "ok" that earns you a penny every ten minutes. I say semi passive because every 30 minutes you have to enter a captcha to collect your cash.

This Reddit guide is incredibly well put together and highly detailed, giving many other suggestions to maximize your earnings, most of which are simple and painless to do. http://www.reddit.com/r/SwagBucks/comments/229bf6/detailed_guide_about_swagbuckscom_for_the_newbies/

If you  feel like signing up for swagbucks and use my referral code you will get 70 swagbucks and I'll get a kickback for the referral as well. http://swagbucks.com/refer/MisterWednesday If you do signup, post your own referal code for the next person to use.

My overall take on the site is fairly positive, it won't ever be a big money maker (and it has many highly spammy surveys and "free offers") and really may only be viable if you have wifi and electricity free, but it can a simple way to earn a few dollars a day without much trouble.

Thought I'd do an update since its been a while since I posted this.

Swagbucks continues to pay out for me in a regular fashion, see the attached screenshot. I'm using 3 swagbucks apps  at this point, MovieCli.ps (only for android) SBTV, and entertainow. There is a forth app I have not tried yet but will most likely get to at some point, Sportly.tv (android)

I am also using Perk at this point which pays less than swagbucks but has several advantages- first off you can have up to 5 devices on one account and the videos play automatically for about 7 hours so you don't need to baby sit them quite so much. Each device running about 23hrs makes roughly a dollar. If someone cares to sign up for perk here is my referral link http://perk.fm/4f39a Be sure to post your own referral link in this thread if you use mine.

Speaking of referrals it looks like someone has used mine for Swagbucks so thank you and please post your own link here in the comments. Feel free to message me or ask any questions you might have in the comments here.

Please type Swagbucks into the search function on the home page. There are 23 prior threads that mentionthis

Including this one:

There is even a dedicated referral thread for these things:

Hi Marty,

Thanks for the links, its helpful. Sorry to have made a duplicate thread. Should I delete it? Or can someone move it to the appropriate spot?

I can't claim to be a fan of the referral link thread you posted-- its very confusing to have multiple referrals and conversations in one thread, although it is nice to have one spot with such a wealth of information. Maybe there could be kind of a folder with separate referral sub threads for each group of referrals (like for instance someone could move the bing thread there, a swagbucks thread, etc).

Anyway, thanks and sorry --

The search function here sucks, better is to google Forum MMM + search term

That advice came from the man himslef, Pete on his last ever post (like 3 years ago)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
