I'm new to all this but I'm thinking that this could be a great thing for me and my wife. She's self-employed so we have four quarterly tax payments every year, each of them just over $5k.
Can we just both apply for two cards each (this one for hotels, and then another one for flights) and each do one quarterly payment on each card? Seems too simple to be true.
Grateful for any guidance you can offer.

Yes you can. That would work assuming you can make quarterly payments with a credit card. There is a bit more depth if you want to optimize your hacking

I see the 25k points after 3k spend in the terms and conditions, i don't see the 10k for additional 2k spend though :(

Looks like there's a 1.87% fee to pay quarterly payments to the IRS with a credit card (can't do it directly; the fee is to a third-party processor).

usually worth it for this. there are other ways to Manufacture spend that cost a bit less. Including buying gift cards and turning them into money orders.

any sheraton. We did the sheraton pentagon city. they have a shuttle to the airport and to the metro stop. really easy to get anywhere from there. And on weekend days when the lounge is closed for breakfast they gave me vouchers for the buffet down stairs.
i'd get that card before the 35k bonus drops back down to 25k in a day. annual fee waived the first year on the business card too.

Just to be clear, you were approved for the SPG Business, right? Because the personal card doesn't come with Sheraton lounge access.
