Recommendations for business shows, podcasts, movies?
« on: January 28, 2015, 11:19:32 PM »
Any recommendations for documentaries or shows where you can actually learn about business? I'm thinking along the lines of Shark Tank, The Profit, Startup Junkies, etc.

There are some great TED Talks - also www.goodlifeproject.com/ not all are business/sart-up related but many of them are and are worth watching/listening to.

Planet Money on NPR have a spinoff called "startup" I believe. These planet money shows don't all focus on "learning about business", but much more honest and less contrived than the over-formatted shark tank and the like IMO.

You have to pick and choose the business related interviews, but Michael Covel has a pretty broad base of great entrepreneurs, writers and professors. His monologues  are probably not very helpful to you, and his interviews of traders and investors may not apply to what you are doing. You'll have to sift through to find the gems.

Radical Personal Finance podcast is good, and Mad Fientist has a few good ones but not many.

I finally got to Startup - I love it. Exactly what I was looking for!
