Outsource your creativity in the Kitchen
« on: January 08, 2018, 08:16:54 PM »
Just here to rant about my favorite book for the kitchen: the Flavor Bible.
The Flavor Bible incentivizes using ingredients you already have. The book recommends pairings of ingredients as designated by a panel of professional chefs. The pictures are great, but the real value-add is the one-size-fits-all nature of this book. Have extra asparagus? Try asparagus + cayenne + lime... or maybe asparagus + Parmesan + eggs.
Between the Internet and the Flavor Bible, it's an easy to keep your kitchen more interesting than mid-level restaurants, without a special trip to the grocery store.
