Options for long term stays / booking websites?
« on: January 04, 2018, 09:42:29 AM »
I'm looking at options for traveling somewhere long term (2 months) next Winter. Ideally somewhere in South America with a family of 4.

I'm trying the find the most economical options.  I'm mostly looking at Airbnb but is there a better search option for long term stays.  AirBnB seems more tailored to short term stays price wise.

Also which country gives you the most bang for your buck?

I have friends that use house sitting sites and just randomly jump for a new location that appears. It's not great for choosing a pre-determined location, but if you just have a general area you want to go to this might work.

You could see if there's someone from the forum in South america looking for a renter :D

In Brazil, we were in a tourist place in the off-season. We used a prop mgmt company that we connected to thru a restaurant owner. Leased a furnished place for about two months.

I have browsed Nomador.com for house sits.  Most of them are in France, but there are some in South and Central America.  I haven't dug into the other house sitting and home exchange sites, but there are a lot of them.
