Does anyone have a go-to lightbulb they love that is energy efficient, beautiful and low cost? LEDs or CFLs?

I've never thought of light bulbs as beautiful, but we recently got a pack of six 9.5 watt (60watt equivalent) warm white LED bulbs for $15 at Costco.  Feit brand - they seem to work well, and look like standard incandescent bulbs.

I find that you just need to know what color spectrum you want, and figure out the lumens vs watts conversion.

All our LEDs give off the same light as the old incandescent bulbs (as far as we can tell) except for the bulbs I bought for the basement and garage, where I went for the whitest light possible (I think they called it 'daylight' on the packaging).

I have various brands, as I've been buying LED bulbs since 2009. None of them have failed yet.

In terms of LED, I've had the best luck so far with Cree.
