What no one explains is that there is no such thing as a uniform objective credit score. All these different banks, companies, and websites have their own proprietary formulas for taking data from one (or more) of the three credit bureaus. That score you see on your credit card statement or CreditSesame website will undoubtedly be different than what the bank will look at when it determines if it will offer you a mortgage.
