Interesting. I never heard of this. I imagine it's not used often in cities that have major bike share programs like the lime bikes? Is it worth purchasing a bike just to rent it out? LoL.

I used it one time when visiting California. The experience was really, really good, and I definitely plan to use it again if I’m ever visiting a city for a week or two again.

The person I rented from had numerous bike options, and he happened to work for the city planning their bike paths. He was super friendly. It’s been a few years, but I remember the price being reasonable, too.
