Hotel close to LAS?
« on: October 02, 2018, 09:25:17 AM »
Hello all. My husband and I will be traveling to Utah in a couple of weeks and will be spending our last night in Vegas and flying out of McCarran early the following morning. I've been searching for a decent hotel close to the airport but I can't seem to settle on anything. It doesn't need to be fancy, just close enough to the airport and Enterprise car rental. Anyone here familiar enough with Vegas that could toss out a few tips? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thanks!

Uber is cheap, so that should open up your options some.

You might look at where the car rental location is at LAS (it's off-site from the airport quite a bit), and consider whether to grab a hotel near it, then Uber to the rental car building. There are constant free shuttles between the airport and rental car building - no requiment to show a rental car reservation or anything like that in order to ride the shuttle.

I'm a little confused by your inclusion of Enterprise.
If you've got a rental car, proximity to the airport could be a lower priority.   I think you're wanting to not have to go very far early in the morning.

I haven't been to Vegas in a while, but...

TripAdvisor and Google rate The Yellow PentHouse quite high even thought it's economy (MMM) priced.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't realize the rental car facility included every major company which is why I specified Enterprise. When I looked at the map on my laptop (as opposed to my tiny phone) it all made more sense. I found a hotel close enough to the rental car garage that also offers a shuttle to the airport, perfect. Thanks again. :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
