Has anyone used this product?

https://www.chilitechnology.com/chilipad

I just ordered one after agonizing about it for several weeks, as is necessary for such an expensive item.  Wayfair has a good deal on them right now.  It's a water-filled mattress pad with a heat exchanging circulator that is capable of cooling to 20 degrees below ambient temperature.  It heats as well but I'm not interested in using it for that.

My justification for blowing $350 on this is part medical and part Mustachian.  I'm at my wit's end trying to control heat surges & night sweats that make it nearly impossible to sleep.  The canonical treatment doesn't completely work and costs over $1000/year, between followup appointments, lab tests, and medication costs.  But, I think it will reduce A/C costs as well.  I live in NYC and have long endured hot, humid summers in stuffy apartment buildings at the cost of $200-300/month for electricity. I'm hoping that this will allow me to turn up the A/C several degrees at night, or even completely off at times, whereas this supposedly uses only slightly more electricity than a window fan.

If that's true, it will pay for itself within a year for the A/C savings alone.
